So here we see Rice in his natural habitat, and what's probably a relatively common occurrence. Although it seems to keep happening to him, Rice harbors an aversion to vore and tries to stay out of the way of potential predators (or prey). Unfortunately for him, other people tend to have different ideas, and since Rice tends to lose focus easily and just seemingly has a natural knack for it, things like this turn out to be rather commonplace.
Blondie was feeling a bit peckish and decided that a squirrel just might hit the spot. With the aid of accomplice Sunny, a little bit of bubble-blowing magic might be just the thing to divert Rice's attention long enough for a hungry liom to get started. While Rice might run for the hills were he to turn around, oddly enough his tail seems to be all for this turn of events, edging itself slowly closer to that patiently-waiting maw.
...And yes, chances are once Rice is dispatched, Sunny will likely be dropping into the liom's stomach as well in short order.
