Common side effects include: periods of intense frustration, random cursing, violent rages, profuse destruction of paper, pencils and pens and the undeniable urge to do it all over again. Warning: Do not attempt to stop the individual from completing it's task. You could get hurt in the process.
CDFS is known to go into remission, but only when the person suffering it finally gives up and puts down the pencils for a period of time. Unfortunately CDFS can not be cured, only treated through rest and hot tea, hot chocolate or coffee to calm the nerves. It is most serious when the person in question notices severe flaws in their drawing compared to their most recent piece.
You can not stop someone from suffering CDFS. You can only help them cope.

Hi. My name is Rachel Enot. And I am, right now, suffering from CDFS syndrome. That is why I am on the internet at this time of the message. I have been drawing the whole day away for school and I am tired of it. About 30 minutes ago, I caught this nasty problem.
It should go away after some food (I am hungery) but I still do not know.
In short, you comic was just what I needed to see right now. Thanks.

There is a difference in being happy with your work and knowing your limits verses letting your standards slip into mediocrity because you are upset. For example I know I can't draw a building as easily or as good as a furry and thus when I do I don't expect them to look all that great.
Improving as an artist for me is far more important than simply being happy of what I accomplished because the improvements I make enable me to be proud of my work. Nowadays when I have this issue I simply put it away and come back to it later. Usually my subconscious works on the problem and solves it for me while I sleep, and when I come back to it my work is more fluid, better constructed, more thought out or I find out I never really wanted to draw it in the first place.
I drew the comic more for humor value and the fact I know we all have those days where no matter what we do the pencil is against us, not because I was venting.
Just because you aren't immediately happy with something at one given time doesn't mean you should stop trying to do better next time, and this goes for a lot of things in life. It is that drive that inspires greater work, and causes us to grow as human beings, and when you can look back on your successes and see where you have gone to know it was worth it in the end.
