Went ahead and colored that sketch anyways and decided to use it as a base for my own (un-sanctioned) Ferrin!
I had to go over the design so many times oh my gosh this literally took all day ; w;

Though I'm very happy with how it turned out! just really hoping this design hasn't already been made? >^<
