I too share your love of this character, foxfeather, being the nature-loving heathen that I am. Having worked in the forested hills of the blue ridge mountains for Eight months I felt, contrary to my usual cynically rational ways, that there was something super natural about spending so much time in the forest every day (perhaps it just inspired my more irrational artistic side more than working dead end soul-crushing customer service jobs) . Either way Alector's character is a magnificent example of how the beauty of nature can be an artist's best friend.
