Jitter Bean's POV
It was a cold winter night. Nothing was in sight but cold, frozen white snow falling, making the scenery beautiful. From a distance and through the snowy haze, smoke can be seen coming from a small, oddly built cabin.
Inside the house was a Dutch Angel Dragon of all different shades of brown, mixing ingredients and adding chocolate into a small pot along with milk. He smiled happily as he stirred his hot coco and sniffed the sweat fragrance of the drink. He stepped back with a contented look on his face before walking off to grab his favorite coffee mug.
As he reached for the mug something brightly colored outside had caught his eye through the frost covered window. Barely able to see out from the heavy snow fall, the Dutch Angel Dragon tilted his head as he barely made out a figure collapsing in the snow. Ears lowering in worry, the young dragon grabbed his striped sweater to help him keep warm as he walked outside, shivering as he was suddenly blasted by cold, harsh winds.
As he walked through the knee-deep snow he stumbled a bit. His ears stayed high in a sign of alert...until he tripped over an hard object lying in the snow. He fell face first into the snow, taking a moment to recover before he looked up and shook the snow off his face. He turned around, trying to gain his bearings, and was greeted by beautiful purple eyes staring at him weakly.
His ears lowered as the brown Dutch Angel Dragon looked over another of his kind. She was brightly colored, blues, pinks and greens covering her in a soft down. In the harsh cold and deep in the snow, she looked like a fragile bird, left behind from the flock as it flew south. Gently and softly, the brown Angel Dragon scooped up the smaller one in his arms, looking down at the multicolored dragon with a sad look in his eyes. She was half frozen. Her beautiful feathers all but frozen stiff, her soft paws all but turning blue and falling off...
Standing, the brown Angel Dragon rushed back to his little cabin-like home with the little birdie clutched tightly to him. Upon getting inside he laid the weak Angel Dragon down by the fire place as he fixed up the fire to help bring warmth to her frozen flesh. He also took special care to wrap a blanket around her, warming her up even further as he walked off to take off his wet sweater. He walked to the pot he grabbed his mug and another cup as he poured the warm, sweet hot chocolate he was making into the cups.
He walked back to the little Dragon whom was watching and staring at the bigger Dragon curiously, her eyes filled with the upmost gratitude. He sat down and gave the extra cup to the half-frozen dragon. He chirped at her to take the cup, a warm smile growing on his face. "Drink this. It'll warm you up."
The little Angel Dragon looked up to him as she took the cup in her paws, a grin coming to her face. She sipped at the hot steamy drink as it warmed up her throat and eventually, her whole body. She drank all the hot chocolate in only a few gulps and chirped at him happily.
The brown Angel Dragon smiled as he watched her, sipping his own hot chocolate chirping back just as happily. As he sipped at his drink, he felt something snuggle up close to him. Surprised he looked down at the little dragon who had nuzzled into his side, looking up him with wide, innocent, beautiful eyes. Blinking, the confused the bigger dragon laid his cup down and and pulled the little dragon closer.
He hugged her to him as he whispered, "I'll keep you safe, my Little Sister..."
