Lilac's POV
It was a frigid, winter night and nothing was in sight, but shimmering snow falling, creating a beautiful scene. From a distance, smoke can be seen billowing out of a small, oddly built cabin.
Stumbling weakly in the deep snow was a petite, brightly-colored Dutch Angel Dragon. The blues, pinks, and greens standing out against the white snow. The Dutch Angel Dragon was doing what she could to get to the cabin. But after trudging through the snow for hours, the little dragon collapsed from exhaustion.
Laying in the snow the little-multicolored dragon curled up, whimpering from the pain. She closed her eyes, thinking this was the end. Suddenly, something tripped over her and she yelped. She opened her eyes only to be greeted by blue eyes. They seemed to belong to another Dutch Angel Dragon, but this one was covered in all shades of brown.
She watched as he looked her over, his ears lowering. She whimpered to him and folded her own ears back. The icy snow was getting to her and she trembled. She felt the other dragon tenderly scoop her up into his arms. The little Angel Dragon curled against the larger one trying to warm herself up against his body heat. Her fur was half frozen, and feathers all but frozen stiff.
The little Angel Dragon felt herself being rushed back to the cabin. Upon entering, the brown Angel Dragon laid the iridescent Angel Dragon down by the fire place She saw him fix up a fire to, assumedly, help her warm up. After he wrapped a blanket around her, he walked off. He took his own damp sweater off and walked to the petite kitchen.
Now cuddled in the blanket, the little dragon looked to the crackling fire. She felt the ice on her fur and feathers melt. She slowly gained feeling back into her limbs as well. She wiggled her toes and her ears twitched to the sound of clinking glass. Her nose twitched as she smelled what seemed like chocolate. She lifted her muzzle and took a big whiff not realizing the brown dragon was walking over, carrying two cups.
She opened her eyes surprised to see the bigger dragon walking over. As she stared, he sat down next to her, handing her the second cup. She looked down at the cup, tilting her head, sniffing curiously. “It'll warm you up" He chirped.
The multicolored dragon looked confused but sluggishly took the cup. She sipped at the steamy drink, and it seemed to warm her from the inside out. The warmth eventually spreading all over her body. She perked up and smiled. Never before had she tasted something so sweet and so warm. She quickly tipped the cup higher as she gulped all of the hot chocolate down. She chirped happily, her entire body toasty and warm.
As the little Angel Dragon wiggled in her spot, the blanket fell off her. The brown Angel Dragon smiled and watched her. He sipped his own hot chocolate, chirping happily as well. The little dragon looked up at him and smiled. However, she couldn’t help the yawn that slipped out as she stared at him. She crawled up to the brown dragon and into his lap. She snuggled up to his fluffy chest.
She yawned once again and closed her eyes. She felt his arms wrap around her and pull her close. He held her and murmured, "I'll keep you safe Little Sister."
