Spent most of the day working on a large commission. I got to a certain point and deceided I needed to let it sit till tomorrow. But I still had a couple hours left in the evening. Hmm. What to do?
I don't often just sketch for fun but deceided that it would be fun to fool around on the parchment paper I'm so addicted to. And here is the result. Done without reference so it's not the best sketching but it was fun and relaxing. I was trying to stay loose and sloppy again so did these quickly.
I was rather pleased by the result of the markers and then pencil work over that. The paper takes it very well. I'm going to have to play around with that combination more and see what results I can get when taking more time.

Could you go here please: http://www.prismacolor.com/
And then here: http://www.letraset.com
Finally, here: http://www.dickblick.com
Let me say, however, that Prismas are not the be all and end all, either!
Your own pencil, pen, charcoal, oil and pastels, etc. and how you use them make for who you are as an artist...and I've even seen more unusual mediums used here, like tea (tannic), woodcut, linocut, and scratchboard!
Your art is what you make of it ... what you put into it ... and finally, what you get out of it :3

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond:) I use Copic markers and in particular I love the sketch markers ie one side is a brush rather than a wedge or point. I like how they let me 'paint' with markers since I'm most comfortable using brushes when applying colour.
The sepia set I put together from their huge line of colours. They are E21, E33, E35 ane E37. So basically a nice mix from the E set so I could use other E colours to replace them. Speaking of replace, I buy the refill cartridges which make the markers go way, way longer. They are expensive!
