renard_defleureax asked me to help him join the Dark Side of the Force this Halloween, and I was more than happy to! ...Not that I'm -on- the Dark Side, I just, uh... You know!

"Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me."

The words of the Code echoed in his head as the din of battle rang in his ears. Renard had been taught to fear them, to spurn them- but that was years ago, and a different, weaker man. The Jedi had stifled him. They smothered his passion and creativity under meditation and serenity. Their "harmony" was nothing more than chains to lash the strong to the weak. The Sith, though. The Empire. They rewarded men of his talent. They valued his strength, they knew how to use it. And "Sith Lord" just seemed to suit him better. He had broken his chains. He was free. The Force surged through his veins; he could feel it in every bulging muscle of his titanic frame. His burgeoning pecs heaved, his skull-sized biceps tensed and flexed, and at last, at long last, Renard was able to revel in it. Strength, power, they were intoxicating. As the Force enveloped him, he was seeing the world in a whole new light. Why had he ever limited himself? What had he been afraid of? Harming others? Breaking things? Maybe he just needed to build a world that could withstand his strength, then. And he could start here and now, culling whatever wasn't strong enough. As he felt his own surging strength in his muscles, and the force, enticing him with the caress of power sweet enough to taste, he knew one world wouldn't be anywhere near enough. He was like a starving man at a banquet; overwhelmed, but no where near satisfied. Finally, the Force burst from him, huge bolts of lightning shooting from his hand, and he knew Renard was as dead as the weakling Jedi knights ensnared in his lightning. But Darth Praetorus had only just begun, and intended to enjoy every minute of it.
