so back when i posted my drawing of the cowboy getting tortured basically and forcefully having semen pumped from his dick, my boyfriend decided he liked his design and he wanted me to make him an actual character
so let me respect him by drawing him actually happy
his name is bonnie, idk how old he is but he is Young and he is Sweet and he is Soft. he's very shy and his friends bully him really badly and he has terrible self-esteem, he's really intelligent and makes terrible decisions and he trusts all the wrong people for all the wrong reasons
i spent like three whole days coloring this basically and in the end i don't like it, but it should say something that i've managed to actually paint a scene that didn't look like garbage. the ambient shading on his ear, horn, and tail to blend them more into the background look worse than it normally does, but aside from that and the fact that i had to shade with green, which i'm terrible with and am convinced always turns out ugly, i can recognize that this doesn't look terrible
edit: i forgot to mention that the coloring also did not turn out how i'd initially planned. there was supposed to be more warmth to the colors, especially from the lighter parts of the painting, but it's almost entirely cool colors, even if they're relatively bright. i'm also complete ass at drawing/painting grass, so if this looks like a 5 year old drew it, there you go.
pushing yourself and leaving your comfort zone is how you improve as an artist, and this doesn't have to be my best drawing to date, what matters is i pushed myself to complete it and to try something i was unfamiliar with.
