Still playing catch-up, one more day of double submissions and I should be where I oughta be.
Started watching Rick and Morty last winter at the request of Woolf. I enjoyed it immediately but it took me a little while to start consistently watching the show. But it was good fun with some more emotional humanizing moments, so I really liked it.
Then the Season 2 finale happened. It caught me completely off guard and devastated me. Especially since I at first assumed that there would be another episode wrapping it up. Now we have to wait a reported year and a half to find out what happens.
This show is incredible. I started watching it for fun, but then somehow, I got really invested. Suddenly I was caring a lot about the fate of a fictional gross old man. Frankly the depth of the human condition this slow manages to go to while still being cooky sci-fi shenanigans is amazing.
Also incredibly quotable, as all of my friends have proven.
I wanna do more Rick and Morty in the future, and am contemplating creating my own Rick and Morty dimension. Consider this a precursor, and me playing around with how they’ll look.
