I'm working on a little project to create a fictional railway line that is part of the (former) network of private railway lines in western Ibaraki prefecture. One line that could have saved a few lines would be the Bandō Line that would connect the Jōsō line with the Tsukuba line.
Anyway, not to get too deep in the matter, I have a cheap 2-car train on order which will be repainted in these colours. It's originally an EMU (electric), but it will be converted to a DMU (diesel).
The mountain on the background is the famous Mt. Tsukuba, a dormant volcano that dominates the landscape in the Ibaraki prefecture. It reflects itself in the wet rice paddies of early spring. Rice (<i>koshi hikari</i>) is one of the major agricultural products of the region and a staple of Japan.

It's seldom that I get to enjoy such a complex background. The brightness of the water vs. the darkness of the woods is interesting. Sounds like the train deal is a bit of a fascination of yours, as well as a project?
