Depth of field is a fun toy. I've been primarily shooting with my close-up/macro lens on B/W film. All the good stuff is the small stuff that everybody else overlooks, while they shoot for the stars, and everything else that's far away.

Close-up/macro is primarily what drew me into photography. There are many textures and contrasts in nature that make up their own world and I want to try and capture them. :)

I just happened to glance to my left while walking down the side walk and discovered this scene.

That's how most of my best shots have happened... unexpectedly, and unplanned.

"Sometimes there's more there than you realize. And you don't see it until you change your point-of-view, just a little bit. Then when you do, this whole other world opens up before you."

Photography lets me see things in ways that are indescribable. People look at you funny when you get all close with a camera to a penny sitting on the ground or something like that "It's just a penny." they're thinking. But to a photographer, it is a work of art... beauty can be found anywhere if you are willing to look for it.

Lovely picture. It's 'just some leaves'... but you have managed to capture their beauty fantastically!

It's all in one's perspective. Try and capture that perspective if you can. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes I don't. I really felt I did this time.
