The 20th of October is World Osteoporosis Day. One such emblem associated with spreading awareness is a little loop of lace ribbon; but, apparently, those things aren't quite as easy to make as one might assume.
...even if, all things considered, I think there's only one person out there who could have gotten herself into this sort of mess in the process.
I've spoken plenty of my long and storied friendship with
Jazzfoxrules in the past, but she also helps to put a human-- well, vulpine face on a medical issue that runs much deeper than adorable artwork of a fox wrapped up in bandages and casts. Hopefully this picture gives due honor both to her friendship and to a worthy cause closer to the heart than some people may otherwise not realize.
So if you enjoy this picture, at least consider making a modest donation to the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation.
