I'd have to say that I love the expression in your work. A combination of both of the foreground character's expression and the background character's expression work rather well here. It's a nice, subtle contrast.
To be honest, what I find most engrossing about your work is the eyes. I'm a bit biased there, perhaps, as I'm typically drawn to the eyes; however, the eyes are that which typically express the greatest deal of emotion.
