I have to admit, this song is based on a couple of MIDI files i found at various places in the net. I joined and used them, rendered and put to mp3 format and finally this came out.

Well.. i'm not much into microphone manufacturers, but i think in any case you should get yourself a small mixing console and a good (external) sound card for that. the mics you can connect directly to you pc.. well.. aren't really able to produce high quality vocal recordings. For the mic itself i'd go for a good sized condenser microphone. I would roughly guess you can get all that for $300, maybel less.. depends much on the quality you want.
