This was actually the second sketch i presented back when i did the last commission for him, and he enjoyed it enough so that we just went ahead and finished it off this time around. I have this weird affinity to the motion of leaping over things, and so i tried to capture that as best as i could

Thank you, yeah i always try to use motionblur sparingly if at all. It's easy to overdo it and use it as a crutch to convey motion so i want to be careful with it.

Thanks, i enjoyed it as well, so i was quite happy when we decided to give this one another chance. Otherwise it would have been a sketch that disappeared into the aether like so many others :)

Wonderful work on this. Love the contrast between the sharp detail in his upper body and the motion blur in his lower body. Gives a great sense of action. The lighting is quite interesting as well. Really a fun painting to look at. :)
