Boltz is an extremely nervous pikachu, He's afraid to fight, has low self esteem, and is very easily frightened and worried people wont like him because of bad experiences in his past. (Read the comic to see)
Anyways the contest is pretty much to guess a scene that may happen in the comic later on, and my guess was that Boltz might gain his confidence to protect his new friend/trainer.
