Your imagination and talent would map so exquisitely onto/over the Soviet style of the early 20th century.
As long as you're pastiching propaganda.

Thank you for indulging in my love affair with historical graphic design. I love love love Soviet Realism, and its German contemporary Plakastil (the styles, definitely not the content of course). Because of the way I think stylistically I tend to default to deco, whether it's late loewy-era or earlier more cassandre style, but I should probably make more of an effort to bust out of that box.
There are things to be said for both playing to one's strengths and stretching beyond one's comfort zone. Different, weird, sweet fruits.
There aren't enough artists mixing biologie sans frontieres with the stark, informed hard lines and color sprays of the old school poster art. So rock on with your bad self and fuck the haters.

The link he posted had both. I was comparing the pictorial elements of soviet (socialist) realism to the German Plakastil. I think it's a fair comparison to make, especially if you look at Ludwig Hohlwein's Nazi propaganda which uses the same palettes and heroic imagery as a lot of the soviet stuff. Constructivist type is effing awesome and I love me some El Lissitzky, but I've aped that before and I know it can be done.
