but uhg I've had such bad experiences with that fandom, yet people keep calling my character an AD even though I first designed her back in 2010 WAYYYY before anyone even knew what they were AND my character is obviously candid BUT SINCE I HAVE WINGS AND HORNS AND CHIRP I OBVIOUSLY HAVE TO BE AN ANGEL DRAGON. I JUST HAVE TO NOW DON'T I??

Yeah, I tried to get into the DAD fandom earlier on since a couple of my friends are admins, and I started making adoptables for them cause I thought it'd be fun and I was new to the whole adoptable thing, then I had someone straight up tell me that they liked my design, but just because I wasn't a specific artist they weren't gonna buy it. like.. seriously? Are you fucking joking?
and the artist they were referring to had literally the most unoriginal designs, just mixing angel dragons with already existing animals and even copyrighted characters. That's only the beginning, but overall I try to avoid it.
Yes, if one is nice to me and wanted to commission me or something then yes I'd love to help them, it's the rude 12 year olds I want to avoid pff
I always see other artists being attacked when their art isn't even AD related.
For example:
Let's say I made an anthro zebra character, then an AD attacks me because they have a zebra-themed AD. It's disgusting. just. no thank you.

I'd much rather be original than join a fad. Which is why my fursona is so precious to me cause people tell me how perfectly I blended the husky/dragon aspects instead of just putting wings on a dog yaknow?
