Well, I thought, since in your latest submission, you put the two as a gay couple, (I have no problem with that), I guess I just thought of it as he was truthful to the relationship.
Passionate meant he was emotional about the relationship.
Intimate meant close or tightly-knit in regards to the relationship. ^^;

Here's another question for him. By the looks of things, (and how in your tumblr you mentioned Crystal Clear didn't exactly have the happiest of childhoods), I'm guessing Heartbeat is more the strong or defensive side of the relationship, while Crystal Clear is the loving, gentle, and tender side?
Oops! I may have misread something on the previous pony I commented on. Is this one Heartbeats and the white one Crystal Clear?
The fur color certainly goes well with being associated with the color of the organ that is depicted on the flank. (It looks like an actual heart to me)
You are continuing to show your talent improving through the barrel / torso design along with neck and head. I'm quite impressed with the mane and tail coloring / design, too.
Perhaps this fellow runs a gym? He enjoys cardio exercises and offers to help ponies raise their heart rate to keep their muscles in the best shape possible. :)
