I have been slaving over this Boov tunic for the past few weeks and it's finally done!!! :D I couldn't get Fizzy's colors at my local fabric store in the needed materials, but is OK; I've always loved orange and green so I'm pretty happy with it! This baby is entirely hand-sewn (I've never worked with knit materials before and wasn't sure I should trust a machine's stitch to keep the edges from unraveling) and yes -- the pocket is FUNCTIONAL! I can keep things in there just like the Boov do, or just warm my hands, LOL! I'm very happy with how this came out, and will be wearing this to Furpocalypse this year! If you see this Boov running around, feel free to stop her and say hi!

Awww it came out so great! and so much respect to you for handsewing that whole thing >_< I've been doing a hybrid of machine sewing and handsewing for my bodysuit commissions and it saves me so much time, I still think I was a lunatic to entirely handsew my Elbi bodysuit. I can totally see how this took weeks of work! And it all paid off! cant wait to see it in person!

I would have loved to have used my machine to stitch up the edges of the tunic itself, but with this being knit material I wasn't sure if that would be a good idea; I needed to make sure the stitches were small and tight to combat the unraveling (it was trying to unravel as I was sewing it! XD) and being a total newb with sewing machines I wasn't sure if their stitches would be good enough, LOL! X3 Probably would have been fine; who knows, but it would only have saved a little work anyway... The trim and pocket had to be entirely hand-sewn in order to get the appropriate look (and trust me when I tell you that stupid pocket was the hardest part LOL!). That swirl design is all hand-stitching, Baby! :P As much work as this was I'm very proud of it! I might make a few more in different colors at some point! Can't wait to wear it to Furpocalypse and show it off! :D
