Does it fit the character?
Well, any voice can fit any character, but I'm guessing my real judgement would come down to the moments where your friend would have to use a more sultry tone.
See, I view the character you've created as someone with a great amount of life experience. So if you can keep your friend confident while she says her lines I can safely say that her voice will fit flawlessly.
As for the animation itself, the voice and mouth movement could do with some better syncing, but that's up to you.
