Yay, I love it when someone notices all the stupid little details I like to put in!
(Aside; This is completely unimportant, but "Mittens" was the cat that belonged to the old lady who used to live in this house before she got Scuzzlie as a puppy, then promptly died, leaving the house and it's contents to her middle-aged, live-in son, seen in this story.)
