Sam or Samantha was a very tomboyish girl who had a rather pretty face. She was kidnapped and brought to Arcadia for her masculine charm. When her faerie mistress found out she wasn't a boy the faerie declared it had to fix the confusion and that one who acts like a boy should be a boy. Afterwards Sam dutifully served his new mistress biding time to save himself and his older brother who was also captured. He probably would have become a wizened fae of protocol if he hadn't stumbled upon a fate altering relic. Sam made a pact with a soul stealing dagger that promised him that it would aid him in saving his big brother. Sam in-canted the fae mistress's name and stabbed her with the dagger, infusing Sam with her draconic essence and immortality. Sam did not realize until it was too late that the dagger had begun to corrupt his flesh, trying to turn him into a demon. In the end his contract with the dagger was broken by an elder dragon and the demonic transformation was averted from all but his one arm.
