She asked me once to draw "Thirty/Thirty" from the cartoon show "Bravestarr"... and here he is!
As you can see he's walking through the desert... wounded but not helpless, at all. Nobody wants to mess with his gigantic gun called "Sarah-Jane", after all!
XD
Personally, I've NEVER seen the show... though I know it (I'm more the "He-Man" fan). Anyway, it was fun to draw something completely NEW... the gun and the legs almost killed me!!!
And I don't draw many horses, either.
Anyway, hope you like it!
^_^
Drawing media:
MEDION tablet A4 and PHOTOSHOP 7.0.1
Working time:
8 hours
NOTE:
The background is a mixture of techniques this time... blending and merging a photograph with hand drawn rocks and bushes... using filters and digital hocus-pocus.
XD

Oh, I don't mind 'irreverent' images of childhood favorites. Seeing him and his hy00muhn going at it was quite delightful. I realize there are very few that would do him up as I felt he 'should' have been, but at least seeing such terrific imagery makes up for nearly all of it anyway.
I have no clue about that gun... XD It is gigantic!!! ^^"
Seems to be a shotgun which shoots energy blasts (in the 80s everyhing shot energy!!!)... and it is just really big!
Thanks for the comment on th "chrome" effects, as well. Drawing metal isn't really difficult... but adding the right colours or highlights... or reflections, this is more interesting.

Oh my poor Thirty-Thirty. I love this character a lot. Like many other folks here, I never imagined you drawing him. You made him look really good! Someone just done gone and made him MAAAAAAAAAAD though (That's one of his catch phrases from the show)
Thanks for sharing *nuzzles*

I hope you go ahead and look into some of the episodes. It was actually quite a remarkable series. So many cartoons are patronizing and condescending to young viewers. Bravestarr had some themes that were quite mature, and well done. If you ever have the chance, you might look into these episodes. There's one called "Fallen Idol". Very well done. Another one called "The Price". That one was way ahead of its time (considering this was a cartoon from the 80s!). Another one of my personal favourites is called "Sunrise, Sunset". Those are three of the more exceptionally good episodes. Of course, there are many others that were somewhat cheesy and average, but I think those three really showed some great things. Sorry for rambling. It's just that I really liked the show. Thirty was an awesome character.
Man metallic shading is the worst! Some people find it the easiest thing since sliced bread and some instinctively know shortcuts and where to cut corners while still looking completely fine. I am so jelly over anyone who can pull it off competently.
I personally never watched the show myself but knew about it. None the less you captured the David Lee Roth essence of the character flawless. I tip my hat... now where did I leave it. Oh, there on the floor. Consider it a preemptive hat tipping.

Frankly... I rather draw two artworks a year than produce twenty each month.
Production is something that feels... industrial... artificial... not human.
I want to create... to share something nice and fun! I'm no machine and I really don't appreciate some people who just produce art like a factory.
On the other hand I have to be fair... I don't need to draw for a living. I can afford to draw only a few artworks per year.
^^
But well... I just do what I like! And if people like it too... that's awesome!!!
