Quick story I thought up on the spur of the moment. Hope you like.

Zoe sat in her car seat excitedly. It was her birthday and she was on her way to her aunt Shortcakes house. "Mom how long before we get there?" She asked as she fiddled with the straps on her car seat. "We'll be there shortly honey." Zoe's mom replied without taking her eyes off the road. Zoe hadn't seen her cousins Jaye or Springbells for a while so she was excited to play with them.

Before to long Zoe's mom pulled into the driveway of aunt Shortcakes house. She put it in park, got out and then proceeded to unbuckle the belts on Zoe's car seat. Zoe was so excited she leapt out of her car seat as soon as the belts were undone. "Wait up honey." Zoe's mom called as she grabbed Zoe's diaper bag closed the car door. Zoe impatiently waited for her mom to catch up before walking up to the door. Zoe immediately reached for the door knob to go in but her mom stopped her.

"Hang on honey. What should we do before going in?" Zoe's mom asked. Zoe thought for a moment before she realized what she needed to do. Zoe reached up and pressed the door bell and waited for someone to answer. As Zoe and her mom stood there Zoe heard some shuffling and such coming from the other side of the door before it swung open and Springbells leapt at Zoe almost knocking her over and giving her a big hug. "Happy birthday Zoe." Springbells said as she released her embrace.

"Thanks Springbells." Zoe replied giggling at how Springbells was acting. Zoe then noticed aunt Shortcake standing at the door. "It's about time you got here. We were beginning to think we were gonna have to eat your birthday cake without you." Aunt Shortcake remarked as she showed Zoe and her mom in. Once they were inside Zoe wrapped her arms around her aunt Shortcake as best she could to give her a hug. "Thank you so much for letting me come over auntie." Zoe stated hugging Shortcake as best she could.

"Your quite welcome Sweetie." Shortcake replied hugging Zoe back. As Zoe and Shortcake released their hug Zoe began glancing around the room. Jaye was nowhere to be seen. Zoe began to get a sad look on her face as she turned back to aunt Shortcake. "Where's Jaye at? Isn't she here?" Shortcake smirked at Zoe.
"I'm sure she's around here somewhere. Why don't you check the living room." Shortcake replied as she started making her way ingot he living room. Zoe perked up and ran ahead of everyone into the living room. As Zoe entered the room she noticed a large purple box almost as big as her in the middle of the room. She quickly turned around to face her aunt. "Is that for me?" She asked excitedly. Shortcake nodded her head. "Sure is sweetie. Why don't you open it up?" Shortcake asked with a wink. Zoe began to reach for the gift but stopped. "Shouldn't I wait for Jaye?" Zoe asked looking a little sad.

"I think you better open it before she gets here, trust me." Shortcake assured her. "But won't Jaye be sad I didn't wait?" Zoe asked again. "No honey. I'm sure she wanted you to open it as soon as you got here." Shortcake insisted as she sat down on the couch. "Okay then auntie." Zoe replied as she put her hand on the large box. Her hands slowly moved across the top feeling the texture of the material. She hesitated for another moment before grabbing the flap.

As soon as she reached to lift the flaps off the box the top flew open sending a startled Zoe flopping back onto her diapered rear. As her padded behind hit the carpet out popped Jaye wearing Applejacks hat and a matching shirt. "SURPRISE!" She yelled as Jaye bounced from the top like a jack in the box. "Jaye!" Zoe squealed in delight to see Jaye standing there. "We got you something kiddo." Jaye stated as she showed Zoe a stuffed Twilight Sparkle doll.

"For me?" Zoe asked in amazement as she looked at the toy. "Mhm, all yours kiddo. Happy birthday." Jaye said smiling as she climbed out of the box. Before Jaye had gotten both feet out of the box Zoe leapt onto Jaye giving her a big hug and sending both girls to the floor laughing.
"Thank you so much Jaye. You to Springbells and auntie."

"You're quite welcome honey." Shortcake replied getting up from the couch. "Now, who wants cake?" Shortcake asked as she made her way to the kitchen. "I do." Springbells announced following close behind Shortcake. "Us too." Zoe yelled as she helped a giggling Jaye up off the floor.
Once everyone had their fill of cake Jaye, Springbells and Zoe all cuddled together on the couch and spent the rest of the day watching cartoons and eventually falling asleep. When Zoe woke up her mom was carrying her into their house from the car. "Hey sleepy head. Did you have fun at Aunt Shortcakes?" She asked as they entered their house. Zoe just nodded as she hugged her new doll tightly. All the while thinking it had been the best day ever.
