Now the back of the biker vest. I built the design myself based on what bike gangs wear. I simply printed the image on a sheet of paper and cut out the outlines. I used double-sided tape to stick then on the faux leather vest. Quick-n-easy. I just hope they'll last long enough, at least half a day.
Despite the short-cut method I used on the fake patches, I thing they do look real enough for a homemade costume as long as you don't stare at it too close.
Even though the vest is the centerpiece of the getup, I thing the accessories are going to be the key. I plan on using some choker chains on the pants to simulate the chained wallets bikers like to wear, a red bandanna worn on my head, and a pair of fingerless black gloves along with a skull necklace.
EDIT: I forgot to add that I also have a pair of faux tattoo sleeves and a metal studded wrist band to go with the rest of the costume.
For those who don't know, my inspiration of this was the biker shootout at Twin Peak's parking lot in Waco, TeXaS. I had a few other, fancier ideas but the actual party at work got canceled but I wanted something to wear during the day as people can still dress up. So this simpler, quicker idea came off the back burner. reusing last year Machete vest took care a big chunk of the work.
I do think it could use a couple of more items to take the look over the top but I pretty tapped out of ideas. So any suggestions will help me here. The dress-up day is on the 29th, so basically I have one day left so time is short.
