This is an image I had stuck in my head for a while, a medieval general giving a rousing speech to her troops, and
MeganBryar was nice enough to let me use her swift fox vixen Deidre Lohan in the leading role. Also, a moth. :)

Moths make everything better, as everyone knows!
Thanks again for including Deirdre in such a lovely picture! It really was very nice of you, and the whole thing is beautifully done. Deirdre looks fantastic, and I really love the sheer passion demonstrated in her stance and in her expression, and the sense of authority she has in this piece. You can just imagine what she must be saying to her soldiers, and almost hear the tone of her voice. The rest of the picture is really beautifully done. The beleaguered look of the soldiers and the sheer destruction around them sets the scene and really helps to put you right there in the scene with them. It's easy to imagine the long, wearying conflict that must have preceded this moment and to imagine what might be at stake for both sides. I really like the sheer variety shown among the soldiers, too. Even if most of them are foxes, they are a diverse enough group to both be really interesting and to give you a feeling of individuality among them. You can imagine each of them having a personality, and a history, and that really helps make the scene more urgent, I think.
The walls before them and the catapults and the various bits of rubble are really nicely done as well, and the level of detail you've put into this is very impressive. I particularly like the detailing on the soldiers' uniforms and the various bits of battle damage to their weapons and equipment. Plus the ravens scattered about the scene and the carving on the stone arch are really lovely little touches.
It has been a lot of fun watching this come together, too! Not to mention getting to learn more about your story world, and getting to ramble on a bit about my own. Thank you so much!
Would you mind if I posted a copy of this, myself? With proper credit of course! If not, that's not a problem at all, but I hope you don't mind my asking.
