"Whip....how long...how long have you been watching?" Matt finally said, his voice having now a more hissing undertone.
"Long enough to be quite pissed that you did not invite me to take part of this." the golden dragon replied.
He looked at the vial in front of the blue raptor, a big grin appearing on his muzzle.
"Maybe we should discuss this from raptor to raptor, my friend."
The golden dragon quickly darted forward and grabbed the glowing vial, pulling at the cork and brought the glowing liquid to his muzzle.
"Whip no, the vendor said..." Matt tried to warn his friend but it was to late. With greedy gulps he let the potion flow down his throat, a warm feeling soon radiating from it all over into his body.
But Whip did not stop, he kept drinking until the entire vial was empty.
He let it fall down, too much occupied with the feeling in his guts.
"...the more you drink, the longer you stay a raptor, and there is a possibility of a permanent result if you drink too much." Matt sighed, facepalming himself. But the damage was done. Now he could just watch his friend transform and hope that he would at least stay sentient and conscience enough when he finished transforming.
Both males did not have to wait for long.
Just like with the blue dragon, the golden dragon was quickly encircled by a purple mist, as he started to change.
Unlike Matt who at first lost his wings, the change in Whippet started with his fingers, as they grow longer claws, long and silver-coloured.
The soon-to-be-raptor grinned wide as he admired his new hands, wiggling them eagerly, the mist around him spinning wildly as he changed at a much faster rate than Matt did.
Soon earth-brown feathers started to sprout along his arms and his tailtip. And differently to Matt's shift, he also started to grow horns all along his spine, while at the same time the horns on his head started to shrink into his changing head.
His snout soon got more pronounced, pointier, while his ears shrunk back into his head as well, leaving him with a smooth skull, safe for the spines on his backside.
"Yessssss, so ssssstrong....sssssoo much power...run...hunt...prey..." Whippet hissed in delight, his eyes wide and alert, yet his mind was filled with haze and pleasure, overriding and other thought for now.
Matt stepped a few steps back in case, Whippet's mind would break under the influx of new impressions and instincts, ready to overpower him if necessary.
Meanwhile, the mist around Whippet only intensified, swirling around like a strong Maelstroem of magic energy, transforming the dragon into a wild raptor.
His heart was pounding strongly with more and more power as his muscles surged with more and more energy, needy to release it in a wild run, no a wild hunt. While the purple mist cleared pretty quickly after Matt was finished with his transformation, Whippet's fog did not disperse, a small mist of magic particles remained around him like an unreal glow. Clearly the magic within him had a much stronger effect than anticipated.
Matt grinded his razor-sharp teeth as he thought about the possible implications. Was he contagious now, could he spread the mist to others? The raptor within him wanted to fight the golden raptor, showing him his dominance, but he pushed that instincts aside, trying to focus.
Whippet flexed his fingers as he finally set into his new form, looking around him for some prey to hunt. But he only saw another blue raptor, taking in his scent. He was strong, equally strong as himself. But he did not want to bow to another raptor, nor did he want to fight right now.
He wanted to hunt, and if he could not be the leader of a pack, for now he would have to hunt alone.
With lightning-speed he darted into the bushes, searching for any kind of prey to catch to sate his new hunger, leaving a trail of fast-dispersing purple particles behind.
"Whippet, come back!" Matt yelled with an angry growl after him, but the golden raptor did not listen, he did not want to listen, he wanted to hunt and hunt alone.
'Gods, why does he always have to be so greedy when he gets a new transformation-potion.' Matt cursed in his mind, quickly running after his friend into the bushes.
Torch-the-Dragon drew this beautiful transformation pic and
mtt3 wrote a little story to go with it. Of course I love transforming into all sort of things and raprots are one of my biggest loves. Thank you both!
