Before anyone asks, no this is NOT a glorified X-wing clone. Skywalker could only DREAM of keeping up with this beastly little number. Plus this isn't Star Wars, so deal with it. :P

The Starpoon is the custom-made gunship of Mioda Rokuso, a starship captain in the Firestorm Defense Fleet. Starpoon was built with special inertial dampeners that prevent the pilot from feeling the effects of G-forces during air and space combat. The cockpit is covered with a specialized shield plating when attempting atmospheric re-entry. The Starpoon can, under its own power, reach sub-light velocity at full impulse power. On the rear of all four wings are laser turrets that can pivot on their axis either automatically via targeting computer or manually via the pilot's operating console. The decision for a darker paint job allows the Starpoon to effectively appear invisible on enemy radars and sensors; in tandem with this is a cloaking field that can render the ship completely invisible at low impulse power without weapons charged. The deflector shields are not very strong as defensive prowess was sacrificed for offense, stealth, and speed. In the instance the ship's reactors go critical, the front of the ship acts as a lifeboat and can detach from the main body where an emergency distress beacon automatically activates and cannot be turned off until rescue arrives or the lifeboat's limited power supply fails.
