Now, for those wondering what's kept me busy, it was this guy! I joined a contest called the Retrogasm where you pick a character, vehicle, etc., from any game pre-2000 and remake it with present day game design methods. I haven't made a character in over two years, so this was quite a challenge. And a lot of fun too!
Ah, Chrono Trigger. I played the heck out of that game. And Robo was easily my most favorite character. He was a bit slow, but versatile. And how can you not love a robot punching dinosaurs in Prehistory?
If you're wondering what PBR is, that's referring to his textures. PBR stands for Physically Based Rendering. These textures are based on physics and will react properly to lighting in all environments correctly. With the traditional method, you'd have to tweak your textures to get the best result depending on the environment you placed the object in.
