I always have been a fan of halloween, despite its not celebrated in my country, since I hve memory I loved this season and like to celebrate it the best I can.
I usually make a horror movie marathon the whole month, just and only watching horror movies for the month, just relaxing or watching them while I work on art, as a backgrounc companion.
I love the old classics, like the Universal mosnters, Dracula, Dr Frankenstein, the mummy, the invisible man, etc the black and white era has it owns charm. and of course the slasher classics, Halloween with Mike Mayers, Friday the 13th with Jason Voorhes, Nightmare on Elm Street with Freddy. and tons more, Chucky, Critters, Gremlings, trolls, house
From House on haunted hills to Godzilla. Im into it
Even searching the worst ones the that make you face palm the entire movie and puke all the popcorn (yeap even if you arent eating it)as a cannon with mountain echo effect
The decorations, lights, smoke and sounds is always a must in my house that day, a couple of hours with stroboscopics lights, smoke and the Nostromo alarm sound, can drive anyone crazy =P
Finding a pumpikng big enought to carve is hard down here, but its a good hunt.
Some years its a whole party with friends, others just me and all movie night, horrors, monsters, old, new. Uusually try to gather the same topic movies and wtach them, for example all horror films where the monster or the creature is some kind of food, like The Stuff (1985)or all thje movies when you can see the zipper in the monster costume
This year´s theme is Haunted Houses
- The House 2 (1, 3 and 4 arent that bad, but I like more the 2nd one, because its selfaware of his badness and makes fun of it)
- House - japanese movie -- Or as was renamed by a friend "Culitoooo!"(Little asss!). the one that found a copy of this rare gem =P
- House on haunted Hill
- Monster House
- Amityville
and of course there are tons more, but is just one final night =P
Happy halloween and scary dreams!!!
