Miranda scarfs down one her most loyal and dedicated minions. There are reasons why this job doesn't pay. Also most minions at the castle (provided there are any left that aren't prisoners) barley last a week before they end up in a stomach.

Here's a nutshell version of how they work:
Miranda does it out of greed, amusement, and enjoys being dominant.
Isaac does it by making most of his prisoners one time use only experiments.
Gloopshi doesn't actually do it, but being too dumb to think for himself he basically captures people he calls "friends" anyway out of obedience for his master who either makes them slaves or test subjects. Gloopshi hopes that one day that one of Isaac's experiments are a success like himself and they can become "best friends."
Millissa is usually forced too by Miranda, but when in frog form she does it out of dominance similar to Miranda's behavior.
Of course Prinny GBA has the crystal of life so they come back in some way, but that information is for another time.
