Thanks! Glad i found the jacket in a vintage shop in SF, the rest came together around it pretty well. I need to get the fake front pocket made real by a tailor, got the perfect pocketsilk to go there.

Having just made that hunt through the very fertile grounds of the Bay Area, and had one bitch of a time of it... Find yourself a long white coat of the right size and style, preferably cotton or some other natural fiber (wool, rayon) Artificial fibers like polyester don't work well... and dye the shit out of it yourself. You can get the supplies at $NATIONALARTSUPPLYCHAIN in your area. The most well known brand is RIT. (found that amusing, given undergrad) for a real deep purple, use extra bottles, can do it all in a rubbermaid tub, those with foresight will cut a drain in the bottom and run a hose right down the drain in the sink or tub to avoid staining.

Fortunately I've used RIT before.. amazing stuff....

And still looking for said jacket - considering sewing it myself.... you know, if I suddenly get a desire to sew my fingers to the fabric.
