DUUUDE!!! All my digital stuff is actually vector (except for the few small pixel pieces) :D I've never done anything different and don't plan to do so anytime soon. Is it easier? I don't know.. I've been doing this for a couple of years now so it feels kinda natural to me. I'd say some things are easier in vectors, others are more difficult.
Well, I did use colored pencils up to about 2009 when I began using Inkscape as well. Since then my traditional/digital ratio has shifted more and more towards digital. Nowadays most of my stuff is vector. The difference between the digital and pencil pieces should be obvious enough xD
