Okay, so I thought this might be fun for people to check out. A portion of our CS crew and arter friends are currently off in japan to see the sights and visit with family members. 
dxs and 
ponygirl have been taking photos and sending them back to me as I hold down the fort.
They only arrived in Japan yesterday, so they've only done a few things, but here are some of the first photos.
From top left to right:
Christmas Colonel Sanders
dxs convience store rice ball snack
Hotel sign which apparently took some real looking to find. Japan streets and addresses don't work quite like western addresses.
And at the bottom, that bus there is the bus you take to get to the Ghibli Museum which they've only just visited now.
Hopefully they won't lose their access to the net and I can post more photos as their trip goes. Enjoy all. ^^

Oh streets are VERY messed up there. They all go by the individual villages they used to be until it all grew up into the metropolis it now is, and none of it makes any sense x3 You need a good map or a guide. I used to know a few websites for foreigners to help them find places...

Yes, I missed my opportunity to snap a picture of Samurai Sanders from my first trip. And I want to ride the Ghibli bus, but it has to look like a catbus from Totorro. :)
