One of these days, I'll draw the real raptie. You should too! Until then, raptie gets mad if I don't use this silly fake eyestalkless version. :(
And I tried! My art is the suck, especially compared to you (I mean geez D:) but at least I tried, right? Glad everything was accurate, at least. I did pay as close attention as I could to get as little wrong as possible, at the very least.

Obviously he's mad because it hasn't been drawn enough, and not having enough art of his true form is a sensitive issue for him. Us being good friends and all, we should help correct this!
And man, if you actually like this enough for your desktop, at least let me send you a hi-res version or something. The .xcf (which I still have) is 1800x1800. Not that I'm fully comprehending the thought of this actually being good enough for a desktop in the first place..

And you know, ironically, I woke up this morning thinking "jeeze, it's been a while since I heard of Kjorteo"... I opened FA and what-do-I-see, a journal and an image from you, haha.
I think you did a really good job here, honestly. For someone whose talent is not drawing, you can pull off good foreshortening. There's no shame to be had of that level of ability. =)

Don't put yourself down too much - you're not trying to be among the site's artistic elite or anything, but this is a definite incremental improvement (the basic stab at lighting really helps). And sometimes it's the thought that counts :) I had wondered what that "brick" thing was in the sketch.
