From 1973 to 1975. Filmation made 22 half-hour episodes that aired Saturday mornings with almost all of the original cast. Walter Koenig (Chekov) was the only one who didn't appear in the animation. Majel Barret-Roddenberry was the voice of Communications Officer Lieutenant M'Ress, who took over comm when Nichelle Nichols couldn't make the voice sessions.
It was sad hearing the news about the wonderful Majel Barrett, how she gave such depth to so many lovable characters and M'Ress is no exception, being a great furry character for Star Trek. Bless her memory. Fantastic job you did here, very symbolic with the monochrome to signify that she has passed on, too. We'll never forget you, Majel.
I always though the Caitan form was quite nice. Its likely why I have such an affinity for you furries. I'd consider regenerating into such a form, but I've seen what furry artists would do and uh, no, thank you.
As for dear sweet Majel. What a lovely woman who was there from the very beginning for the entire thing, carrying the torch of vision that Gene had. And what a vision it is. Its gonna carry the human race into unparalleled ages of wonder and glory and all thanks to people like Gene and Majel!

M'ress was a proud female of Caitian species but during one episode Mr. Scott got far closer to this lady than anybody else. Due a friendliness inducing drug she cuddled the guy and possibly more off camera. Lucky guy I always thought. Even though M'ress was spitting at him afterwards due to the side effect, the drug created one hour of perfect friendship but a day of intense hatred to follow.
Farewell dear lady the computer on the enterprise has losts its voice and no one can replace such a sweet and clever lady.
Course 234 mark two, Warp seven engage.
