Yeah, I screwed up and did the same thing, ended up deleting the save game data and starting from scratch. Stung just a titch, getting my heart ripped out both ways, but she was not dying in my game.
The 'best' ending, of which this picture is based upon, is only available via True Pacifist, and it's actually not that complex. There's a couple of 'side-quests' you need to do for various characters(all of which are mixes of awesome or hilarious, so you'll want to do them anyway), and battles become more about dodging attacks and figuring out which combo of non-combat actions are required, but it's really not that hard to manage.
You can 'miss' some of the requirements for True Pacifist, in which case the 'final' boss forces you to fight him, leaving you with one of the Neutral endings once you win, but so long as you haven't killed anyone up until the final boss, and all you're missing are the character side-quests, you can go back and do them before heading back to the final fight for True Pacifist and get that ending.
Just always keep in mind if trying for True Pacifist, no one has to die, you can get through the entire thing without once attacking(with the Attack function anyway, one of the bosses does add in a 'shooting' mechanic that you can use, just be careful with it), as there's always another way, even if at times it can take some work to find it.

I know about the no using the ATTACK function but it's the extra side-quests. I'm the kind of person that loves to find everything, but I always miss one. Without a way to go back via save abuse it'll be hard to get the true pacifist ending. I'm gonna try though! I already wiped my save!
The 'required' side-quests are all character related, so if you do the standard RPG trick of making sure to talk to people, even if it takes a bit of backtracking in a few cases, you should be good, so long as you remember that you're striving for peace, and act accordingly. And if all else fails, and you end up with a Neutral ending, once the credits are over you'll get a hint as to what you missed for the 'real' ending, and will be dropped off wherever your last save pre-final fight was.
There's a few extra tidbits that require a little work to find, puzzles mainly, but those generally just give you items you can do without, most of the 'lore' stuff is pretty hard to miss.
If you need help on some part of the game, feel free to shoot me a PM, otherwise good luck getting your heart ripped out again in the ruins and later on, as the ending for True Pacifist is totally worth it.

Yeah, probably more than any other character, going the lethal route with that one hurts the most, making the fact that you don't have to, even if doing so hurts almost as much, so very welcome.
Neutral isn't actually one ending as I understand it, it's many, changing in small ways depending on your choices within the game. Not sure about the other ones, but the one I got was rather bittersweet. It's... an ending, of sorts, but not really, given afterwards it tells you what you missed, nudging you towards the 'real' ending. Like the game is telling you, 'You've done a good job, and here's your consolation prize. Now if you're willing to go just a little bit farther, put a little bit more effort into it, you'll get the big prize.'

In AppData there is a folder for this. Delete it and get a hard reset. Keep in mind it deletes your saves as well.
I sinned about Toriel as well :( but Flowey had a point! YOU are the master of this game YOU have the power to hard reset and YOU can go back to make things right way! Think of it as time traveling, it put off me the feeling that I sinned :)

I did the hard reset thing. But honestly, I got the game from a friend for free via Humble Bundle. The first hour of Undertale blew me away so I'm like "I don't care if I have this game already. I'm paying full price for this to have it on Steam," so I was starting over anyway! Since then I have gotten to where I was before, I did everything the same except the Toriel thing (even went back to see Toriel at the beginning of the ruins AND waited the 30 minutes at the start when she asked me to).
Now... to hopefully not fuck anything else up. X3

Yeah same story with me. :)
I torrented the game coz ppl said it's good and I didn't want to paystraight if it sucked. But after a while I just went and bought it. The Dev deserves the money. Everything in the game fits absolutely perfectly. Also he got enough money from kickstarter already and even then he said he might do another game with that money. But my bet is that there will be a sequel. Ppl love this game and a lot of ppl are buying it. I don't care if the next game will be similar I just want to have more story :)

Good games are games with "very positive reviews" but are usually brought down TO only Very Positive because of the odd negative review from the game buging, not working, or very rare gameplay things.
If a game has overwhelmingly positive, just buy it. That means not only does it pass the not buggy and works flawlessly, people love it. That is your first clue.

Actually it looks like you found the trick on your own. You can't win that fight via speech, you have to run away from her, though you might need to survive long enough for it to be an option, I'm not quite sure. Run away, let her armor and the heat take it's toll on her, and then give her a cup of water and she leaves.
One word: Endurance. Keep dodging, and so long as you did buy the items from the spiders in the ruins they'll get a message to her and end the fight. Eventually.
Yeah, did my best to avoid spoilers for my first run, and only found out afterwards that keeping the cider/doughnut for that fight makes it easy.
