So you larp??

I have been for almost 7 years

*shakes head* it's not larping per se, it's more a focus on combat with the costumes and weapons. There's no roleplay to it, it's simply fencing with a wider array of weapons. It's more like the SCA. I don't mind, but the group takes HUGE offense at being called LARPers, despite the fact that we kind of look like them....go figure. :D

So like dag? I know.dag players don't like being called larpers lol

*nods* we have close ties to HEMA groups, which is where some of that attitude comes in. I just like to fight. :D

I'v done both dag and larps. Either way still both fun

Also what group do you fight with? I don't know of many WMA groups that still use shinai.

The empire of chivalry and steel. Shinai is making a big comeback, sadly, it means a lot of fighters have choices and it's tough getting the numbers these days. I love shinai, got hurt in rapier and steel lol.

Oh cool. They had a group out here awhile ago but it folded up and their members got absorbed into the SCA or the local WMA group. It's always cool to find furs who like to stab each other with swords! :)

Wonder how heavy that hammer is.. If it was heavy enough I would wait for him to pull back for that swing speed in slash with sword on left hand to his right arm, followed by while passing him a slash with the axe to his back of the knee with the axe. Cant weild heavy hammer with no shoulder to support, cant follow attack with lack of leg to control, slash with axe to back of knee would tare the tendense and make him bleed out in a older style battle o-o; But then again I have no strength I am just all agility of speed and reaction think thats why I can dash super speed past people. I used to do sca I miss it @_@;; Nice heavy wooden weapons able to time everything down to a moment.

It's not so much the offensive capability of the thing, but it's defense. It was actually really hard to get in there and hit him clean until I hooked the hammer handle with the axe and yanked it down.
