These little cuties are the Mikwa - they're the natives of the island the main game is set on - called Elisi. They're a peaceful bunch of odd donkey-bunny looking aliens that are good with machines and place a lot of value on hand-made things.
They live in either tribal or small town societies, and generally treat everyone within their town or tribe like family. They're the first people that the Humans who crash land on Elisi meet, and their first meeting goes pretty smoothly.
Their visual designs and colors are inspired by the Peruvian culture.
