A bit about Nightmares:
Nightmares are like centaurs only they can shape-shift from hell-horse to human to live in the modern world. Wings will not let them fly but are more for the males as a show of dominance and a way for females to adorn themselves. They live in very tightnit communities close to large lakes or the northern seas/oceans. Nightmares have been known to take unsuspecting riders for long "dips" into the large bodies of water near their homes when they are out for midnight runs. Whoops! But that was before Nightmares knew that humans couldn't breathe under water as long as they could. Since then no human has been accidentally killed..(except maybe on purpose.)
