Totally agreed, she needed to be truly barefoot and actually SHOW IT in the cartoon. I thought it was lazy animation to just "hide" her feet after Eggman told her to remove her shoes.

I've noticed a lot of Sonic Boom episodes being trollIsh about this.

Has there even been an episode where one of the main characters has been shown barefoot? I can't even recall.

that one beaver has shoes where his toes are out in the open, and that one episode of an entire tribe of blue rodents that manipulate people by guilt-tripping them.

It wouldn't hurt if Sega decided to show their characters without shoes ocasionally. After all they should already know what fans would like to see.

yyyeah, they already did so with official art and in-game models since Sonic Adventure and even Sonic X... officially they're blobs with no toes, but I prefer earlier interpretations from the old cartoons and original comic continuity

Not really a big fan of the 'human-like' feet. I'd actually more so imagine that she'd probably have 4-toes similarly to some of the actual barefoot or close to barefoot characters, such as that beaver guy whose toes are quite clearly visible and looks to have 3 or 4 toes. There was also that one episode with those special shoes that Sonic couldn't remove. He removed his original shoes in order to put on the shoes he couldn't remove, but you never get to see his paws and it just sort of cuts to him with the other shoes on. Which, despite not being able to take them off, he seems to have his old shoes back again in later episodes. Or I'm just mistaken. But still, SEGA likes to tease with certain things like that.

The old Sonic cartoons are actually part of the reason some fetishes are so heavily associated with Sonic. Sonic Underground had some inflation in one episode and foot growth in another.

Eh, to be honest, the feet designs have been LARGELY inconsistent since the very start... with the old cartoon shows and comics having them with 3, 4 and 5 toes as that's what I grew up with. I prefer the toe count matching the number of fingers they have for the sake of symmetry... plus I find humanoid feet more attractive personally :P

AoStH had at least two scenes involving tickle torture and the rarity of seeing the characters barefoot very likely helped me develop my own kinks.

Everyone has different tastes and interests, I suppose. :P The kind of feet I enjoy is proudly displayed in my avatar. XD, for me, even if an anthro character has 5 fingers, I still prefer them to have 3 or 4 toes. Like, take for example, Bugs Bunny. He has 4 fingers, but 3 toes. :P

And I see... my kinks developed later on in life. I didn't know about them back when I watched shows like that. I just sort of discovered them online and realized, "oh... yep... that is a thing I really like." Paws WAS something I discovered that I enjoyed when I was younger, though, no doubt about it.

It seems cartoons always cut off when we are going to see this kind of stuff... like they know it but are being dicks about it.
