That's very interesting! Never seen a Chozo before...not even sure if there's anything out there on what they truly look like. Very cool design though.

The closest thing I could glean to anything canon was "B" in the first sketch; it was the shape I saw most often!

There is actually an example of a chozo in the Super Metroid manga. Old Bird makes an appearance in it. He's in robes and whatnot, so it's not the best example, but still.

Oh this is fricking awesome! Also, like the power armor picture too. Honestly think Samus's Varia Suit is the best looking suit of armor around, and it's nice to see a different shape for it.

This was a character design commission, so $85 with some extra for the power suit (the finished ref is usually only two views, generally a front and back)!

Since their actual living appearance is all over the place and there's mostly just statues and strange-looking ghosts to go on, we sort of treated it like a character creation from scratch, just with some rough guidelines that they're some kind of bird aliens and have a lot of different art floating around.

*faves this with the fury of a thousand suns* This is some of the most fantastic Chozo concept art I've ever seen. It comes so close to the statues, whilst still looking birdlike, and that's the best depiction of a Chozo in battle armor ever as far as I'm concerned.
