This reminds me of a play I wrote back in high school based around the traumatic event of my dog being hit by a car and then being put to sleep. Because I couldn't use a real animal, and I wanted to keep the reality of it all, I used my favorite plush from when I was young to play the part of my dog. It was so powerful, I still have chills thinking about the performance.
