why wear pants at all?

Kitsune of japanese folklore are shape-shifters, so that probably explains the how... if not, their status as a mythological creature opens them to the fiat : a wizard did it.

It's usually solved not with a hole fore the tail bush, but rather the back of the pants are more or less cut away and there's a button on belt-like strap of dennim that buttons accross above the tailbush o.o

I do wonder quite a bit about things for kitsune especially those with a lot of tails, like just how you physically attach all those tails in the first place since when you think about it having nine tails sprouting from the same spot must take up quite a bit of rump space even if each individual tailbase is relatively small.

I asked a Kitsune this question once on Tapestries... She explained that the extra tail were imaginary...

So I asked if her butt got bigger as new tails were added, or if she got extra imaginary butts, one for each imaginary tail...

*chuckles* She gives you some clawmarks of your very own to show off after you asked that? Well when it comes to Kitsune you find various interpretations of them depending on just whether people like them for their appearance and powers or are more religiously inclined (which have to be careful around those they can get as heated and quickly toss aside a friendship as any christian if you say the wrong thing sadly). For the 'real' ones I just wonder how they handle all those tails and the weight of them hanging on their backsides like that (must be why we see so many with large chests though, for counterbalancing).
