Its a bit of a mix. The generator and light is created by Badland Venkats (Chani is a Wilds Venkat), she got it off a friend of theirs named Elsa, she'll feature in later stories :)
It's power generated by a magical crystal so there's still a heavy fantasy setting to the world. Not sure if it's the best term but if I said it was kind of Steampunk-like would you know what I mean?
