Yeah...it's hard for that one to happen, usually people just fave and keep on their merry way so I understand that >.< Regardless, it's one of those "Rome wasn't built in a day" kinda things where you just have to keep on and try to just draw what you want rather than be a crowd pleaser first.

1 comment would be an improvement on how things used to be (logging on the day after posting art, seeing you have 3 commants, which turns out to be one shout thanking you for the favorite, and 2 replies to your comments on their submissions). and yes I am quite happy with how my art seems to be coming along, I seem to be getting a better handle on getting the small details right on my females, along with the anatomy, cjhallenge yourself, draw some (for you) exotic poses (that seems to be what i am doing after discovering my love of ubnbirthing pictures)

thank god i'm not famous (not getting any giftart depicting any of my characters in sexual situations,my 'sona lying on top of a rock with another bigger male on top, and both look like thay're enjoying it(I actually saw this kind of picture as a request a few months back), I'm not into this kind of stuff so I suspect that it would give me a feeling of disgust/ nausea along with hpantom pains in some specific areas, and then you have to compliment the artist who did this, point out a few things you like about the picture. please note I have nothing against gay people (Riannah seems to be somewhere between bi and gay), I'm just not gay myself). thats why i always ask.

Yeah...that's downright depressing I would say...=/ I'm sad to say that happens more often than not, since, people are just sometimes more receptive when you comment on their stuff. I try to reply as well as I can and if I'm close to the day it was originally submitted. With past times being crazy, it's taken me a while to actually make a ding at the new submissions XD Usually I'll drop a comment unless it's like, a really famous person since somewhere, I just believe that they will overlook my response with the tons of adoring fans drowning and kissing their feet over how awesome they are. I don't know if the sentiments are the same everywhere, but that's at least my own experience concerning the more famous artists of FA and DA. Teehee, and usually challenging yourself is pretty much the perfect way to see what works best for you and such. Example being the raptor I mentioned to you in my response to the journal, it's rare for me to draw something that doesn't have fur but...it looks halfway decent at least, or enough so that it's liked. XD

Yeah...I honestly wouldn't like something that I didn't really consent to unless it's like cute art, which is always welcomed. But considering where we're at XD, it's hard to see that done to one's character =3 At any rate, I just hope that if I ever get some gift art (you know, one that wasn't even mentioned) that they have at least a lil decency when making it. ^^ And nah, it doesn't really concern one's own preference so much as the fact that the situation in itself is not one your character would actually be in if you drew it. =3 So, yeah, always mention or at least let them know what you ARE comfortable with doing. It's the best way of keeping friends I would say.

I believe you're right about the famous persons, beside that it'd not really that funny having to scroll thru 50 oneliners before (hopefully) posting a responce that is a little more meaningful, I left DA, after 2 years and what i considered friends back then, didn't last, 2 or 3 weeks after (sometime more) they would stop commenting on anything I uploaded, and not respond to any comments I made on theirs, beside that I heard that they don't really like furries over there.

Yeah...it just gets to a point of bleh...unless I see the artist makes a humble attempt to actually answer back to them. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't but I just mostly reply to the ones that seem to take every response for what it's worth, that just reply back, even if it's a thank you, to me it just means that at least they've taken the time to sit down and look at what they've said in response to their things. That, to me, is quite valuable. As for DA, I pretty much look at DA occasionally and run right back out. I see too many idolizations for me to actually sit down and socialize with anyone there except one of my friends whom I personally know. Otherwise, not really, it's too much drama, too much negative critique and not enough good ones. So I just skipped the whole dealing with DA chapter and stayed here. And nah, not really, there's a reason this place exists of course XD

i kjnow of at least one artist that seem top respond to everything, even if it's just a single word (such as; "cute"), I stayed at DA for 2 years, and I believe that the number of comments recieved is smaller than the number of pieces I uploaded, and I'm staying here, I heard that DA users favors fanart.

darkside seem to be more trusting this time around, he "changed" he seems to be a little smaller and more vulpine. (I was trying to figure out how to draw him and he stepped out of the shadows smaller and closer to my style (his old style was closer to a "realictic" one, check white wolf's "werewolf the forsaken", that was the style he showed himself as)).

Yeah, they don't really incline a lot for furs other than really respectable ones and even then, they're here for the most part anyways. As for the amount of comments and pictures...I'm honestly sad to hear that, it shouldn't happen...yet it happens far more often than not sometimes...=/ DA just goes off particularly in the real of fanarts like you mentioned, some cam whoring and mostly real life pics which are the most wowed at. I don't even know at this point since I like to hide from them XD

I prefer furaffinity, you're here, and I don't get any admin notices for uploading adult furry art (I've heard that artwork of nude anatomicallly correct furries get removed without telling the artist, over at DA.) I just don't go over there anymore.

Why would they remove adult fur art...? It doesn't make sense if there's people there that admire and enjoy it, then what's the point of having a freaking subdivision that says "Anthropomorphics"? I can't explain it, but I'll say I believe that it's easier saying "this piece is violating our rules" than figuring out if a specific piece is close enough to whatever it's called out for ripping off (not to mention people who steal characters, that's a can of worms don't want to open, how close to / far off from a specific character does one has to take it before it's not being "ripping off" anymore), at least we still got furaffinity, and "our" sponsors don't seem to mind that kind of artwork (currently staring at the cocktails bannerad).

Yeah...pretty much, the sad part is that some of the rules aren't being followed as they should and just opt for being more selective as for certain kinds...as for stealing, I don't even want to mention that one, there was a recent case and nothing was done, it was downright ridiculous and saddening because they closed the case stating that the person did not steal the char even though it looked just like the other one's person...And nope, not here thankfully, it's at least nicer that way, don't like it, don't look at it. I just go a step further with my own art to avoid any crap from watchers who like me for the general pieces and watchers who like me for the exotic preferences.
