Hazard: It's all about proper grooming. Us fireproof drakes need a good flaming every year or so. Don't want any combustibles gathering around my scales and in my mane. That and it feels great, a nice high temp flame blasting your scales clean.

Some people might say, "Why not immerse yourselves in a foundry or similar?" The problem is that you have to just cut out the globs of iron that solidify in your mane and you get little fleck of iron and slag that stick to your scales. You then have to either buff that out or just wait till you shed those scales. You end up worse than before doing that.
