It's such a nostalgic piece, it reminds me of days long past. When technology wasn't as good and the world seemed more wonderous, due to me not really knowing how horrible and devoid of magic it really is.
The shadow coming in from the window, representing the regrets that such days couldn't last....
Though like you said, any meaning I get from it is my own interpretation....
